Pentraze Cybersecurity and the Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas (ITLA) have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at strengthening the development of technology talent and promoting joint initiatives that contribute to the growth of the cybersecurity ecosystem in the Dominican Republic.
Although the relationship between both institutions has been built over several years through internship programs, employment opportunities, and academic initiatives, this agreement formalizes a strategic partnership that will ensure the continuity and expansion of these efforts. It also introduces new initiatives, including specialized conferences, panel discussions, research projects, and other collaborative activities that will enable students to complement their academic education with experiences closely connected to the professional world.
This collaboration has also led to high-impact initiatives that foster the development of national talent, such as the cybersecurity competitions jointly organized by both institutions, including the Inter-University Capture the Flag (CTF), the country’s first and leading university cybersecurity competition. The event has provided hundreds of students from universities across the Dominican Republic with the opportunity to test their skills in challenges inspired by real-world industry scenarios.
For Pentraze, this partnership carries special significance. A substantial portion of its team consists of ITLA graduates, reflecting the exceptional talent the institution has cultivated and the strong relationship both organizations have developed over the years.
